Dear Caden

Im sitting here realizing you are almost 5 years old and I felt like it was time to let you know how these 5 years have blessed me in so many ways. I love you. You are my shining star, my breath of fresh air my amazing and wonderful son. I didn’t know that 5 years and 9 months ago that I would be so blessed in to having you in my life. Every single day you make this amazing impact on me. Every single day you make me laugh. You are hilarious. You make jokes and you have this unbelievable sense of humor. You dance to make me laugh…you tell jokes about anything and everything and I can make you laugh uncontrollably by just saying the word “butt”. You are loving and joyus to be around. You are always happy. I have so much to say about the way I love you and the way that you are everything to me but I would like to list some of the things that are wonderful about you:
The way you laugh

The cute little nose on that face

The way you tell jokes

Your stories about princes and princesses and horses

Your innocence

Your questions ( see you are in a stage in your life where you ask WHY about everything and you just want to talk and talk and talk…Its funny and awesome cause you are learning so much by these little “why” questions)

Your eyes ( now you may not know this but you have the most amazing brown eyes I have EVER seen)

You are SOOOO smart ( you can write and memorize things like I could never imagine)

You have an amazing sense of direction…You could tell me how to get from Grammas house to home..how to get to target, the train store, the grocery store, to Angels stadium, to the cheese factory, to the park, to the restaurant with the badge star on it to the movies etc. turn by turn directions…(not kidding you) really. You did NOT get this from your mommy whom gets lost anywhere she goes.! And has no sense of direction AT ALL!

You have the best memory ever..Even though it can sometimes cause problems..you remember everything…how when we went to Disneyland that one time and you ate a brownie while you were on the carosel ( seriously it is that detailed). How the time you went with Gramma to target off of imperial highway in the rain..

How you love to give kisses and nuzzles and hugs and more kisses.

How you can make peanut butter sandwiches by yourself, pour your juice and sit down and eat ( now this is sad at the same time because it means your growing up…I even told you the other day…Caden now I can do this for you..and you said I know mommy but I can also do it myself I know how)

How you loooooove to cook and bake with me( see you have loved this since you could stand up straight) You love to pull your little chair up and see what Im doing..pour ingredients in, crack eggs ( you crack eggs like you would not believe by the way.it is a crumbled mess when you are done but believe it or not there is not ONE egg shell in there)…this is why you say when you grow up you want to be a chef…and if you want to be a chef GREAT!!! Now mommy wont have to cook J

Those little tiny hands…and how you tell stories with them..you CANNOT talk without your hands going

How you know how to somewhat count to 10 in Spanish..Its hilarious and sooo cute

How much I can cure with a little kiss

How you hate “black stuff” (pepper) in your food and will NOT eat it if it has any black things in it..(but oh has mommy learned how to hide it and you actually LOVE it)

How you love to follow me anywhere I go…It doesn’t matter if I am gone for two seconds in the bathroom you want to know what Im doing

How you love to dress up…sometimes you come out with your underwear, boots and a cowboy hat…its really funny

How you like to do any type of craft..you always draw hears and flowers for me. (I will never forget one of the first crafts you gave me at Auntie Katies house with little white hearts cute out of it that says I love mommy..( still on the fridge and it made me cry)


Caden Jacob…there are a MILLION things I love about you and I can go on and on and on and every second I spend with you I love more and more things about you and will continue through the years loving more and more things about my amazing wonderful fantastic son…So here is to you after 5 years of knowing you Caden…Here is to the next hopefully 60 years of my life that I get to spend with you
